Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

Support students with additional learning needs by providing tailored assistance that helps them access learning, build confidence, and make meaningful progress!

GSL Education are searching for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in Rotherham. The Special Education Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities.

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
  • Assist in adapting learning materials and classroom tasks.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff.
  • Follow safeguarding policies and contribute to a safe learning environment.

Requirements of SEN TA:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
