Location: Thanet, Kent

Salary: £93 - £105 per day (depending on experience)

Start date: ASAP

Contract: Full-time, Long-term supply

If so, we at GSL Education Kent want to hear from you! We are currently seeking a proactive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Thanet. This full-time role is available to start immediately. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will be a vital part of the classroom, working alongside teachers to create an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:

  • Work closely with class teachers to deliver an engaging and inclusive primary curriculum.
  • Lead 1:1 sessions or small group activities focused on literacy, numeracy, and social development.
  • Assist in monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to all school-wide safeguarding protocols.

In order to be considered for this Primary Teaching Assistant role, the candidate must:

  • Have prior experience working as a Primary Teaching Assistant or in a related youth-support capacity.
  • Demonstrate a sincere passion for helping young students grow both academically and personally.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and a reliable, professional work ethic.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Meet GSL's safer recruitment background checks.
  • Have a Child Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
