Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a creative Design and Technology Teacher to work with schools in Doncaster, delivering engaging lessons that encourage innovation and hands-on learning.

As a Design and Technology (DT) Teacher, you will plan and deliver well-structured lessons that help students design, make, and evaluate products while developing technical knowledge and practical skills in a supportive classroom and workshop environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach practical skills including designing, making, and evaluating products.
  • Maintain a safe and well-managed workshop or classroom environment.
  • Encourage creativity, innovation, and independent thinking.
  • Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a Design and Technology Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of workshop safety and practical teaching methods.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
