Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic PE Teacher to work in schools across Barnsley, delivering high-quality lessons that inspire participation, resilience, and skill development.

In this role, you will plan and deliver structured PE sessions, supporting students of all abilities to develop physical skills, teamwork, and an understanding of health and fitness within a positive and inclusive environment.

About the role

As a Physical Education (PE) Teacher, you will play a key role in encouraging active lifestyles while fostering confidence, discipline, and collaboration among students.

Key responsibilities of PE Teacher:

  • Deliver well-organised PE lessons aligned with the curriculum
  • Encourage teamwork, fair play, and active participation
  • Support pupils in developing physical skills and confidence
  • Maintain a safe and structured learning environment
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching PE in a school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

  • Provide an up-to-date CV with two recent references
  • Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
