Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are seeking a knowledgeable Computer Studies (CS) Teacher to work in schools across Barnsley, delivering engaging lessons that build skills in computing, programming, and digital literacy.

In this role, you will plan and deliver structured lessons covering key areas such as coding, algorithms, and information technology, helping students develop logical thinking and confidence in using technology within a supportive classroom environment.

About the role

As a Computer Studies Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing students for a digital future by developing their technical knowledge and practical computing skills.

Key responsibilities of Computer Studies Teacher:

  • Deliver well-planned Computer Studies lessons aligned with the curriculum
  • Support pupils in developing coding, logical reasoning, and technical skills
  • Encourage independent learning through practical computing activities
  • Maintain strong classroom behaviour and a focused learning environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

What we are looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Computer Science/ICT in a school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
