Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are currently hiring a skilled and passionate Design and Technology Teacher to work in schools across Barnsley.

As a Design and Technology (DT) Teacher, you will deliver hands-on lessons that encourage pupils to design, create, and evaluate products while developing technical knowledge and practical skills.

Key Duties:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Teach a range of materials, processes, and product design techniques.
  • Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop and classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment opportunities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a Design and Technology Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong practical teaching skills and classroom management.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
