Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Worksop
Pay rate:£460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

GSL Education are recruiting individuals with a sports, coaching, or fitness background to support schools across Worksop.

The role carries the title Sports Coach, but the day-to-day work takes place in classrooms and across the wider school environment. You will support students with learning, help manage behaviour, and keep pupils engaged and on track throughout the school day.

This Sports Coach role suits those who are confident leading groups and want to use their practical skills in a structured education setting.

About the Role

You will work alongside teachers and support staff to assist students across different subjects and year groups. The role involves classroom support, supervising lessons, and helping maintain a calm and focused learning atmosphere.

Your experience in coaching will help you build trust with students, encourage positive behaviour, and support their engagement in lessons.

Prime Responsibilities of Sports Coach:

  • Support classroom learning alongside teaching staff
  • Supervise lessons and manage student behaviour when required
  • Encourage focus, participation, and positive attitudes to learning
  • Work with small groups and individual students who need extra support
  • Apply coaching techniques to motivate and guide students
  • Assist with general school routines and expectations

Requirements of Sports Coach:

  • Background in sports, fitness, coaching, or similar
  • Confident working with young people in group settings
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, flexible, and professional approach
  • Interest in working within education
