Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5/S9)
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately
A number of secondary schools across Sheffield (S5/S9) are seeking a dedicated and confident English Teacher to deliver engaging and purposeful lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will plan and deliver creative and well-structured lessons that develop students’ reading, writing and analytical skills. You will inspire engagement with literature and language while maintaining a positive and focused classroom environment that supports progress and achievement.
Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4

Plan, prepare and adapt lessons to meet varying ability levels

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Assess, track and report on student progress

Promote enjoyment and understanding of English language and literature

Maintain a structured and supportive learning environment

Work collaboratively with department staff where required
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)

Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting

Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
-
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
-
Confident, organised and adaptable approach
-
Commitment to supporting student progress and achievement
