Job Title: Maths Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately

A number of secondary schools in Sheffield are seeking a dedicated and confident Maths Teacher to deliver engaging and structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that build student confidence and understanding in Mathematics. You will create a positive classroom environment, support a range of abilities, and ensure lessons are accessible, challenging and well-structured.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet varying ability levels

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school expectations

  • Assess, track and report on student progress

  • Maintain a positive, structured and engaging learning environment

  • Support students in developing confidence in Mathematics

  • Work collaboratively with department colleagues where required

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)

  • Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting

  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Confident, organised and adaptable approach

  • Commitment to raising student achievement
