Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Rotherham
Salary: Up to £200 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately
A number of supportive educational settings in Rotherham are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teacher to work with pupils who require additional emotional, behavioural and social support to access learning effectively.

About the Role:
As a SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH requirements. You will focus on building positive relationships, promoting engagement in learning, and using a trauma-informed approach to support behaviour and emotional regulation in the classroom.
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEMH needs

Manage behaviour using calm, consistent and supportive strategies

Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to support engagement

Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning and emotional needs

Create a safe, structured and supportive classroom environment

Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
-
Work collaboratively with support staff and wider school teams
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)

Experience working with SEMH, SEN or in alternative provisions
-
Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
-
Resilient, patient and adaptable approach
-
Commitment to supporting vulnerable learners
-
Ability to deliver differentiated and accessible learning
