Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary: Up to £200 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Flexible / Day-to-day / Long-term
Start Date: Immediately

A number of secondary schools in Barnsley are seeking a dedicated and confident Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering well-planned and engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You will inspire curiosity in science while maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment that supports progress and achievement.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet student needs and abilities

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress

  • Create a positive and structured learning environment

  • Support students in developing subject knowledge and confidence

  • Work collaboratively with department staff where required

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)

  • Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting

  • Strong subject knowledge across Science disciplines

  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Confident, adaptable and professional approach

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
