Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Dinnington
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with additional learning needs both in and out of the classroom. Working closely with class teachers and SEN staff, you will help adapt learning activities, provide targeted support and encourage pupils to build confidence and independence in their learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis

  • Assist the class teacher in adapting learning activities to meet individual needs

  • Help maintain a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment

  • Encourage positive engagement and participation in learning

  • Support pupils with communication, focus and emotional regulation

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEN

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patient, empathetic and supportive approach

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • A genuine commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs
