Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Wakefield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning and supporting effective classroom management across the school.
Responsibilities:

Supervise classes in the absence of teaching staff

Deliver and explain pre-prepared lesson materials

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Ensure students remain focused and complete assigned tasks

Support a calm and productive learning environment

Report any issues or concerns to senior staff when required
Requirements:

Experience working with young people is desirable
-
Strong classroom presence and communication skills

Confident, calm and adaptable approach

Ability to manage behaviour effectively

A genuine interest in supporting education and student progress
