Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Secondary focus
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing targeted support both in and out of the classroom. You will play a key role in helping students stay engaged, manage behaviour positively and build confidence in their learning.
Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students with additional learning needs

Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management

Work with small groups or on a one-to-one basis to reinforce learning

Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
-
Help create a calm, focused and inclusive learning environment

Track and report on student progress where required
Requirements:

Experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary setting

Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
A calm, patient and resilient approach

Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual needs

A genuine commitment to supporting students’ academic and personal development
