Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately
Are you confident leading a classroom and supporting students to stay on track with their learning? A well-regarded school in Sheffield is seeking a capable Cover Supervisor to step into lessons and maintain continuity in the absence of teaching staff.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-set work to classes, manage behaviour effectively, and ensure students remain engaged throughout the lesson. This is a key role in maintaining stability and supporting pupils to continue progressing in their studies.
Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Ensure students remain focused and complete assigned work

Provide support and guidance where needed during lessons

Report on student behaviour and progress to teaching staff

Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment
Requirements:

Previous experience working with young people or in a school setting is desirable

Strong classroom management and communication skills
-
Confidence in leading a class independently

A calm, adaptable and professional approach

A genuine interest in supporting student learning
