Looking for a Teaching Assistant in Sheffield!

Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

Do you enjoy working with young people and supporting their progress in the classroom? A friendly and well-run school in Sheffield is looking to appoint a committed Teaching Assistant to support their pupils and teaching staff.

About the Role:
In this role, you will work alongside teachers to support learning across the classroom. You will assist pupils with their work, help manage behaviour positively, and provide additional support to those who need it most. Your presence will help create a calm, productive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering structured and engaging lessons

  • Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning

  • Help maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment

  • Encourage pupils to stay engaged and motivated

  • Assist with preparing classroom resources and materials

  • Observe and report on pupil progress to teaching staff

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people is beneficial

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A proactive and adaptable attitude

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
