Teaching Assistant
Location: York
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full Time / Part Time
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education are recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils within a specialist setting in York.
About the School
This specialist provision supports pupils with SEN and SEMH needs, offering a highly structured and supportive environment. Staff focus on building strong relationships with pupils, supporting both academic progress and emotional development.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Support pupils with behaviour and emotional needs
- Assist with learning activities and interventions
- Promote positive engagement and wellbeing
- Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff
Requirements
- Experience with SEN / SEMH preferred
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Patient and supportive approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
