Teaching Assistant
Location: Scarborough
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full Time / Part Time
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils within a specialist provision in Scarborough.
About the School
This specialist setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs including SEN, SEMH and communication difficulties. The school provides a structured and nurturing environment, with a strong focus on personalised learning, emotional wellbeing and consistent support strategies.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assist with learning activities tailored to individual needs
- Support behaviour and emotional regulation
- Work closely with teachers and SEN staff
- Encourage engagement, independence and confidence
Requirements
- Experience working with SEN / SEMH pupils preferred
- Patient, resilient and proactive approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
