Job Title: SEN Primary Teacher
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £120 – £160 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are seeking a committed SEN Primary Teacher to work in supportive school settings across Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
About the Role:
As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to meet the needs of pupils with a range of learning difficulties. You will work closely with support staff and SEN teams to ensure all pupils can access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for primary-aged pupils with SEN
- Support pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Track and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching where needed
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – desirable but not essential depending on experience
- Experience working with children with SEN in a primary setting
- Team Teach Level 2 qualification – highly desirable
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Flexible and committed to pupil progress
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
