Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a skilled Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to work in schools across Sheffield, delivering engaging lessons that develop technical knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Role overview:

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons
  • Teach practical skills using a range of tools, materials, and techniques
  • Encourage creativity, innovation, and independent thinking
  • Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop/classroom environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback

Prime responsibilities of Design and Technology Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Support students in designing, making, and evaluating projects
  • Promote safe use of equipment and adherence to health & safety guidelines
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Contribute to departmental planning and activities

Requirements of Design and Technology Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology in a school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Knowledge of workshop safety and materials
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
