Job Title: Exam Invigilator
Location: Whitley Bay
Salary: £13 – £18 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Flexible | Part-time / Ad-hoc during exam periods

GSL Education are seeking professional Exam Invigilators to work in schools and colleges across Whitley Bay. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a fair and secure exam environment.
About the Role:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in ensuring examinations run smoothly and in line with regulations. You will supervise students, provide clear instructions, and maintain a calm and controlled environment that allows pupils to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during exams to ensure regulations are followed
- Distribute and collect exam papers and materials
- Ensure exam conditions are maintained at all times
- Provide clear instructions before and during exams
- Respond to queries in line with exam procedures
- Report any irregularities or concerns to senior staff
- Uphold safeguarding and exam board regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and vigilant
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible availability during exam periods
- Previous experience is desirable but not essential (training can be provided)
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
