Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Dinnington
Pay rate: £105-£115 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
GSL Education are looking for proactive and motivated individuals with a background in sports, coaching, or fitness to work in schools across Dinnington.
This role uses the title Sports Coach, but the position is centred around classroom and school support. You will work with students during the school day, helping them stay engaged in lessons, supporting behaviour, and contributing to a positive learning environment.
If you have experience leading, motivating, and managing groups, this is a great opportunity to apply those skills within education.
About the Role:
As a Sports Coach, you will support teachers and school staff across different lessons and settings. Your role will focus on classroom support, supervising pupils, and helping maintain structure and focus throughout the day.
Your coaching background will be key in building rapport with students, encouraging participation, and supporting their overall development.
Core Responsibilities of Sports Coach:
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Supervise classes when required, ensuring a focused environment
- Support behaviour management and promote positive conduct
- Engage and motivate students using coaching techniques
- Provide support to individuals and small groups
- Contribute to the smooth running of daily school routines
Requirements of Sports Coach:
- Background in sports, coaching, fitness, or similar roles
- Confidence working with groups of young people
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Flexible, reliable, and professional attitude
- Interest in working in schools and supporting student progress
