Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Dinnington
Pay rate: £160-£230 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

As a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH Teacher), you will deliver tailored lessons and provide a structured, supportive environment to help pupils manage their emotions and achieve their potential.

Key Duties of SEMH Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons suited to pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Support pupils in managing behaviour and developing positive coping strategies.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and progress.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning and emotional needs.
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear feedback.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills.
  • Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
