Job Title: Exam Invigilator
Location: Sunderland
Pay rate: £13 -£18 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking dedicated Exam Invigilators to work in schools across Sunderland. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented and able to ensure exams run smoothly and fairly.
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the examination process. You will supervise students during exams, ensure rules are followed, and provide a calm and controlled environment. The successful candidate will be attentive, professional, and confident in managing a formal setting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during examinations
- Ensure exam regulations and procedures are followed at all times
- Distribute and collect exam papers and materials
- Assist with setting up exam rooms before sessions
- Monitor student behaviour and maintain a quiet environment
- Report any irregularities or issues to senior staff
- Provide support to students where appropriate without compromising exam conditions
Requirements of Exam Invigilator:
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Good communication skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
