Job Title: Psychology Graduate TA
Location: Birmingham
Pay rate: £95-£120 Per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience supporting children and young people in an educational setting?

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistants (TA) to work in schools across Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to build hands-on experience in education, SEND, and behaviour support while making a real difference in pupils’ lives.

As a Psychology Graduate TA, you will support pupils in the classroom, helping them to engage with learning, develop confidence, and overcome barriers to education.

Key Duties of Psychology Graduate TA:

  • Provide classroom and 1:1 support to pupils across different age groups.
  • Support children with additional needs, including SEMH, ASD, and learning difficulties.
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Help manage behaviour and promote positive engagement in learning.
  • Build supportive relationships with pupils to encourage progress and confidence.
  • Observe and feedback on pupil development and wellbeing.

Requirements of Psychology Graduate TA:

  • A degree in Psychology.
  • A strong interest in working with children and young people.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within an education setting.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
