KS2 Class Teacher – Maternity Cover
Tameside - Asap
Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Maternity Cover (Until End of Academic Year – Potential Extension)
GSL Education Manchester is delighted to be working with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ primary school in Tameside, currently seeking an experienced and confident KS2 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible to cover a maternity leave.
This is a full-time role teaching Year 5 through to July with the potential for to be in Year 5 or Year 6 from September.

About the Role:

Teach a settled Year 5 class

Potentially transition Year 6

Deliver high-quality lessons across the Upper KS2 curriculum

Track and monitor pupil progress effectively

Work closely with the phase team and SLT
-
Prepare pupils for end-of-year expectations and transition
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Recent experience teaching in Upper KS2
-
Strong understanding of curriculum progression and assessment
-
Confidence supporting pupils during the SATs period
-
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
-
A proactive, reflective and collaborative approach
