Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Sheffield
Pay rate: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic Sports Coach with a background in sports, coaching, or fitness to work in schools across Sheffield.
This role is not a traditional sports coaching position. Instead, you will be working within school settings, supporting students in the classroom, helping manage behaviour, and ensuring they stay focused and engaged in their learning.
If you have experience leading groups, building discipline, and motivating individuals, this is a strong opportunity to transfer those skills into education.
Sports Coach - The Role
You will be supporting students across a range of school environments, working alongside teaching staff to create a positive and structured atmosphere. Your day-to-day responsibilities will focus on engagement, behaviour support, and assisting with learning.
What You’ll Be Doing as Sports Coach:
- Supporting students during lessons to help them stay focused
- Managing behaviour in line with school policies
- Supervising classes in the absence of a teacher
- Working with small groups or individual students who need extra support
- Encouraging participation and building positive relationships
- Contributing to a safe and structured learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in sports, coaching, fitness, or similar backgrounds
- Ability to manage groups confidently and calmly
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and adaptable approach
- Genuine interest in working with young people in schools as Sports Coach

- A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
