GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a well-established specialist primary setting in Southampton.

This opportunity is ideal for a primary-trained teacher with a strong commitment to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs. The school caters to children with a range of complex needs, including ASD, SEMH, and associated learning difficulties, and provides a structured, supportive environment focused on individual progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to meet individual EHCP targets
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Primary teaching background
  • Experience working with SEN pupils, ideally within a specialist setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
