Job Title: PE Teacher

Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £220 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Long-term / Day-to-day

GSL Education are seeking a passionate and energetic PE Teacher to work across a number of secondary schools in Sheffield, delivering engaging physical education lessons and promoting positive attitudes towards sport, health and wellbeing.

About the Role:

As a PE Teacher, you will deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, encouraging participation, teamwork and personal development through a range of sports and physical activities. You will also be responsible for maintaining strong behaviour management during practical sessions and ensuring lessons are delivered safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and lead engaging physical activities and sports sessions
  • Promote teamwork, discipline and healthy lifestyles
  • Manage behaviour effectively during practical lessons
  • Assess and monitor student progress
  • Encourage participation across all ability levels
  • Support extracurricular sporting activities where required

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities
  • Reliable, professional and adaptable approach
