Job Title: Math Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Support students to build confidence in mathematics and develop strong problem-solving and analytical skills!
GSL Education are seeking a skilled Maths Teacher to work in schools across Barnsley, delivering engaging lessons that promote numeracy, reasoning, and logical thinking.
As Mathematics Teacher, you will plan and deliver structured Maths lessons, helping pupils understand key concepts, improve accuracy, and apply their knowledge in a supportive and positive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities of Maths Teacher:
- Deliver well-planned Maths lessons in line with the curriculum
- Support pupils in developing problem-solving and reasoning skills
- Encourage independent thinking and confidence with numbers
- Maintain strong classroom behaviour and a focused learning environment
- Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
What we are looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Mathematics in a school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
