Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Inspire students to explore the world and understand the relationships between people, places, and environments through engaging geography lessons!
GSL Education are searching for a motivated Geography Teacher to join schools in Barnsley. The Geography Teacher will deliver high-quality lessons that develop map skills, enquiry-based learning, and awareness of global and environmental issues across key stages.
Core Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Encourage investigation into physical and human geography topics.
- Support students in developing research, analytical, and fieldwork skills.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements of Geography Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching geography in a school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
