Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Barnsley
Pay rate: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Are you a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor who can keep students engaged and learning in the absence of the class teacher?
Schools in Barnsley and GSL Education are hiring a dedicated Cover Supervisor to manage classrooms and ensure continuity of learning.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise lessons using pre-set work, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure students remain focused and on task throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials.
- Maintain positive behaviour and classroom control.
- Support students in completing set tasks.
- Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people or in a school setting.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Confident, organised, and proactive approach.
- Ability to manage a classroom independently.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
