Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant
Location: Scarborough
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full Time
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education are recruiting a confident Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant for a secondary setting in Scarborough.
About the School
This school places strong emphasis on behaviour support, student wellbeing and positive relationships. Staff work collaboratively to help pupils remain engaged with learning and achieve improved outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils who require behaviour intervention
- Provide in-class and 1:1 support
- Assist with de-escalation strategies
- Encourage positive behaviour and attendance
- Work closely with pastoral staff and teachers
Requirements
- Experience with SEMH / behaviour needs preferred
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Calm and professional approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
