Job Title: Exam Invigilator
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you organised, reliable, and experienced in supporting examinations within a school or educational setting?
GSL Education are seeking professional and attentive Exam Invigilators to work in schools across Sheffield. This role is ideal for individuals who can maintain a calm and controlled environment, ensuring examinations are conducted in line with regulations and safeguarding requirements.
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in supporting students during assessments by ensuring exams are run fairly, securely, and efficiently while promoting a positive and supportive atmosphere.
Exam Invigilator Responsibilities:
- Supervise examinations in accordance with exam board regulations
- Ensure a calm, quiet, and orderly examination environment
- Distribute and collect examination papers and materials
- Support students by following approved exam procedures
- Report any irregularities, incidents, or concerns to senior staff
- Assist with setting up and clearing exam rooms
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Key Requirements to be an Exam Invigilator:
- Experience working in a school or examination setting (preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict procedures
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, professional, and reliable approach
- Ability to manage groups of students effectively
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
