Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work within welcoming and forward-thinking secondary schools in Sheffield. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or individuals with previous school-based experience who are passionate about supporting young people's education.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity in the classroom by delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing student behaviour, and ensuring a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor
- Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students with their work and encourage engagement.
- Maintain a calm, focused, and supportive learning environment.
- Follow lesson plans and provide feedback to teaching staff where required.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor
- Previous experience working in a school, youth setting, or as a Cover Supervisor is desirable.
- CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Confidence in leading groups of students and delivering prepared work.
- A positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
