SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP – Until End of Academic Year
Salary: £92 – £115 per day
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only

GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Scarborough on a full-time basis. This role is to start as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
  • Support children with a range of needs, including ASC, ADHD, speech and language, and learning difficulties.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Support pupils’ emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant Will Have:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
