Job Title: Youth Worker
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay rate: £100-£110 Per Day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a resilient and compassionate Youth Worker to join an SEMH school in Dinnington (S25). The Youth Worker will work closely with students who may present challenging behaviours, helping them build trust, regulate emotions, and engage positively with education.

Prime Responsibilities of Youth Worker:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with young people.
  • Support behaviour management and implement de-escalation strategies.
  • Encourage positive choices, routines, and engagement in learning.
  • Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support individual plans.
  • Maintain safeguarding standards and contribute to a safe environment.

Requirements of Youth Worker:

  • Experience working with young people in a youth work, education, or support setting.
  • Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills.
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
