Job Title: SEMH Support
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary Range: £90 – £120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and nurturing SEMH Support to join supportive school across Middlesbrough. Your role will be vital in helping children feel understood, safe, and confident—both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities of an SEMH Support:
- Provide individualised support to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them regulate emotions and stay engaged in learning.
- Assist in implementing personalised behaviour strategies and support plans.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage emotional development and resilience.
- Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to ensure consistent and effective support.
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, and self-esteem.
Job Requirements for SEMH Support:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs (school, care, or community settings welcomed).
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting vulnerable pupils.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A genuine passion for improving the lives and outcomes of young people.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
