Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary: £460 – £650 per week

A secondary school in Wakefield is seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to support classroom learning and supervise lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Cover Supervisor Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring students complete pre-set work and remain on task. You will be responsible for maintaining a productive classroom environment and supporting behaviour management across different subjects.
Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Supervise secondary school classes (KS3 and KS4) during teacher absence
- Deliver pre-set work and ensure students remain on task
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support students to stay engaged in their learning
- Report any behaviour or safeguarding concerns to relevant staff
- Work across a range of subjects and year groups as required
Requirements for Cover Supervisor in Wakefield:
- Experience working with young people in a school or education setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Confident, calm and professional approach
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments
- Reliable and consistent approach to work
