Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (Secondary School)
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediate

A secondary school in Sheffield is looking to appoint a dedicated and supportive Learning Support Assistant to work with students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support students in the classroom, helping them access learning and stay engaged with lessons. You may also provide small group or one-to-one support depending on the needs of the school.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students in the classroom across a range of subjects
  • Work with individuals and small groups to support learning and progress
  • Help students stay focused and engaged during lessons
  • Assist teaching staff with preparation of learning materials
  • Support positive behaviour in line with school policies
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people in an education setting is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, supportive and consistent approach
  • Ability to work well as part of a school team
  • Adaptable and confident supporting secondary-aged students
