Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are hiring a motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to work with schools in Rotherham, providing tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs in a supportive and inclusive environment.
As a Special education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop essential skills.
Key Responsibilities of SEN TA:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with SEN.
- Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and completing tasks.
- Support the teacher in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
- Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) where required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to support student progress.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring, and supportive approach.
- Ability to adapt to different learning needs and situations.
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
