Salary: £95 – £115 per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you a resilient and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) or alternative provision setting?
GSL Education are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a committed PRU-experienced TA to join a supportive and well-structured provision in Middlesbrough. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional behavioural, social, or emotional needs.
Your Role as a PRU Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis to promote engagement and positive behaviour.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities suited to individual needs.
- Help manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour management strategies.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support emotional regulation and progress.
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience working in a PRU, alternative provision, or similar setting (essential).
- A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour support.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, sometimes challenging environment.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
