Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Hartlepool
Salary: £100 to £130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are seeking reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisor (CS) to work within welcoming and supportive secondary school across Hartlepool. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and confident managing classrooms in the absence of the class teacher.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervising classes during teacher absences and ensuring students remain on task
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Creating a calm, positive, and respectful learning environment
- Supporting students with their work and encouraging engagement
- Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
What We’re Looking for in a Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
- Confidence managing a classroom and engaging learners
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
