Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

Salary: £95 – £115 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to support students in a nurturing school environment in Sunderland. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with mental health needs.
- Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams as a Mental Health Support Worker.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Support a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Mental Health Support Worker or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of SEMH needs and behaviour management strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
