Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join schools across Barnsley (S70, S71). This DT Teacher role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining practical skills with innovative teaching to engage learners.
As a Design Technology Teacher, you will deliver hands-on and theory-based lessons across areas such as resistant materials, product design, or food technology. The successful candidate will be confident in managing practical workshops and encouraging students to develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons
- Teach a range of DT specialisms such as product design, resistant materials, or food technology.
- Maintain a safe and organised workshop/classroom environment.
- Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support.
- Inspire students to think creatively and develop practical skills.
Requirements for the D&T Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Design Technology in a school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and workshop/classroom management skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
