Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day supply
Support teaching staff and help maintain a positive learning environment by supervising classes and assisting students with their learning activities!
GSL Education are seeking reliable Cover Supervisors to join schools in Barnsley, covering the S70 and S71 areas. The Cover Supervisor (CS) will oversee classes in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged and supported.
Responsibilities of Cover Supervisors:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, maintaining focus and order.
- Support students with tasks and learning activities set by teachers.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Report any concerns or incidents to senior staff promptly.
- Assist teaching staff with administrative tasks where needed.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Reliable, patient, and approachable.
- Ability to follow school policies and procedures.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
