Job Title: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from a skilled Design Technology Teacher to work in schools across Sheffield (S2, S3). This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire pupils to develop practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving through hands-on learning.

As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that encourage innovation and technical understanding across a range of materials and design processes.

Key Duties:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons.
  • Teach a variety of topics such as product design, resistant materials, and basic engineering concepts.
  • Support pupils in developing creativity, practical skills, and technical knowledge.
  • Ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and workshop environments.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as Design Technology Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to deliver practical lessons safely and effectively.
  • An engaging, enthusiastic, and hands-on teaching approach.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
