Job Title: Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

Support pupils to manage behaviour, build confidence, and engage positively in learning!

GSL Education are hiring a committed Behaviour Support Staff member to work in schools in Dinnington (S25), providing guidance and support to pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional assistance.

As Behaviour Support Staff, you will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to encourage positive behaviour, implement strategies, and help pupils develop self-regulation and resilience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in managing behaviour and developing social skills
  • Implement agreed behaviour strategies consistently
  • Encourage engagement with learning and school activities
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff

Responsibilities of Behaviour Support Staff:

  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills
  • Patient, consistent, and approachable approach
  • Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
