Job Title: Behaviour Support/Mentor
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support / Mentor to work with schools in Sheffield, including the S2 and S3 areas, supporting students who require additional behavioural and emotional guidance.

As a Behaviour Support / Mentor, you will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to provide targeted support, helping students manage their behaviour, build self-regulation skills, and stay engaged in their learning.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with behavioural needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and support students in developing self-management strategies.
  • Assist teachers in maintaining a calm and focused classroom environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students to support their wellbeing and engagement.
  • Monitor progress and report any concerns or improvements to staff.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student development.

Requirements of Behaviour Support / Mentor:

  • Previous experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural or SEMH needs, is desirable.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • A patient, resilient, and supportive approach.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and motivate students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
