Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you a compassionate SEMH Teacher who can support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs?
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a supportive school in Sheffield (S2, S3). This is a rewarding opportunity for a motivated teacher to make a real difference by supporting students who require additional emotional and behavioural support.
As a Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher, you will deliver tailored lessons, build strong relationships with students, and create a safe and structured learning environment. The successful candidate will be patient, understanding, and confident in managing challenging behaviour while promoting positive outcomes.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs
- Support students’ emotional wellbeing and behavioural development
- Build positive relationships to encourage trust and engagement
- Manage behaviour effectively using appropriate strategies
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback
- Work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience working with students with SEMH or behavioural needs
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
